Description
The EXP-BOB1 simplifies wiring and development with the CRO-SM3 induction heater controller. It brings the expansion connector signals out to push-clamp terminals for easy connection to external controls, sensors and interface circuits.
A central array of through-hole solder pads provides space for additional components or an optional Arduino Nano or Nano Every. Arduino power and ground connections are already provided, along with serial connections through removable jumper links. Other control signals can be connected using additional wire links, allowing developers to build custom operating sequences and interfaces.

The Nano Every is recommended for new applications, offering more program memory and RAM, plus separate USB and serial communication for computer monitoring while controlling the CRO-SM3. The classic Nano is also supported.
The 50 × 50 mm board shares the mounting format of other SM3 modules and can be installed in a stack or mounted separately using a JST connection cable. Two onboard LEDs provide the SM3 run and message indications.
Compatible with both CRO-SM3-ST and CRO-SM3-PRO. Available functions depend on the connected controller; serial communication requires the PRO version.
Supplied as an assembled EXP-BOB1 board only. Arduino, Arduino headers, cables and mounting hardware are not included.
